IslandMixRadio which was formed in 1998 as a school project by founder Jeff Lenz has
"grown" quite a bit this year announcing their format change from pop to rock was a
choice made by Jeff along with his investors and staff. "We were just tired of being like
everyone else, so we went green with what we call organic rock and rock which is made
up of the best local and big named bands", said Jeff. In 2008 the company bought out
its only local competitor www.organicamp.com cornering the market in the new found
era of "Organic Rock" All local bands wishing to submit their demo's are asked to first
email the station and further directions will be given to them by the station manager.
Local bands are what makes us who we are, "We are on our way to the top and we want
to take as many people as we can with us". An announcement today that the station is
going to pick up a syndicated show from DJ Depower at PowerMixRadio.Com can be
confirmed. "Depower was the inspiration for my station project in the first place, I can't
wait to be back on the air with one of the best, Look our Howard!" Said Jeff today in an
interview on their network.
